CYBER ATTACK ON ITHALA EMAILS – BUT ASSETS ARE SAFE

Ithala SOC Limited conducts its operations with honesty, integrity and openness, and with respect for the human rights and interests of our employees, customers and other stakeholders. We have discovered that there has been a cyber-attack on our servers. 

Meanwhile every measure has been taken to ensure that the security of client information and assets has not been compromised. Our valuable customers can rest assured that their accounts have not been compromised and that Ithala’s IT team has isolated affected applications and is on top of the situation to restore all affected systems back to normal as soon as possible.

The matter has been reported to the relevant authorities and regulators. According to the International Monetary Fund, as we become more reliant on digital banking and payments, the number of cyberattacks has tripled over the last decade, and financial services is the most targeted industry. 

Attackers target large and small institutions, rich and poor countries, and operate without borders. Fighting cybercrime and reducing risk must therefore be a shared undertaking across and inside countries.We will also gladly address any concerns from our loyal customers.
